As I begin this blog about my wife to share with all of you what is going on in our lives, I first have to give thanks. For it is with a humbled and grateful heart that I write from.
First of all I want to thank our heavenly Father period! He is a good good Father and His spirit has been with us in all of this. His peace, His presence has been with us in all of this. His promises are true and dependable and He truly comes through as He says He will. I want to be careful to give Him the Praise and Glory He deserves. Before Theresa was born, He knew this would be and He set in motion the events of life and faith to allow her to persevere in this and give God the glory as she learns even more to depend on Him. I also know at some point God will ask me to release her back into His loving arms, a privileged he bestowed on me these past 22 years together. I am thankful He trusted me enough to care for her, love her, serve her and release her back to Him. I have felt unworthy in this role, my selfish human side getting in the way, but this is how God taught me how to love, cherish, and feel as He does for us.
As the cross signifies our vertical relationship with our Father, so the horizontal bar our relationship with each other. We are blessed beyond measure for the outpouring of love we have received this past week from friends and family. I am humbled and at a loss of words to tell you our appreciation. Many have sent cards, flowers, requests to help. And many, many, many of you have been praying fervently for Theresa and all of us. Thank you!! I covet your continued prayers as we follow this path one step at a time.
