Thank you Father for the good week, and thank you all for your continued prayers.
This week I will be brief. For the most part it has been a good week, and reasonably uneventful for us. Theresa had bursts of energy, exercising, making meals, going out shopping with me, and at other times pretty fatigued, nauseated, and not doing that well. The downs are not that extreme but still a day to day reality. She has lost most of her eyebrows and eye lashes now, though the hair on her head is beginning to grow. The foot numbness persists and her fingers are slightly numb. She thinks she is holding onto something tight but it slips out of her grasp, which is unexpected each time. Her pin prick sensation is diminishing during the day, so she can get by and not take the Lyrica at times during the day. This isn’t the case at night. All these effects are from the Chemo, though the fatigue and nausea can be from the receptor blockers. In a week and a half, Theresa will get the last Perjeta and within a week or two after that we should be getting the liver scan. Theresa and I did go out for lunch and sat for a time at Fiddler’s drinking coffee on Friday. This was a pleasant time. The kid’s schools will be winding down in the next few weeks and we have a couple of trips planned. We are all looking forward to a change of pace. It has been a difficult 6 months for all of us, having a break will help.
Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. As it was a busy week and weekend, I will have to postpone writing on spiritual insights this time. We live in humble gratitude, as we have experienced God’s favor and are blessed by your support of us on this journey.
