Recovering from Shoulder surgery and Happy 4th of July

Thank you Father for your many blessings; your faithfulness, and for quick healing. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Theresa has had a busy month. Last month her right shoulder started freezing up like the left one. She was having significant pain and limitation on that side. Due to her previous surgery and lymph node removal, surgery on that side is out of the question. So we quickly got her into Physical Therapy and massages, as her muscles were becoming very tight. Then she went for left shoulder surgery on Tuesday. She initially had a severe amount of post-operative pain, but with daily physical therapy and every other day massage, she has actually had a dramatic improvement in both arms as the week progressed. With increased range of motion, she is also having less pain. She still has a way to go, but we are convinced the immediate physical therapy on a daily basis has been crucial to her success. The deep tissue massage has been helpful as well, as her muscles get so tight and don’t allow her shoulder to fully move. We are hopeful that in the next couple of months she will regain her arm movement and she will be able to lay on her shoulders at night without pain. Once we get through the summer, the long road of treatments and recovery will finally be behind us.

Theresa’s spirits are good. She is determined to think positive. She exercises daily, for at least an hour. She hasn’t cheated on her no sugar, vegan diet. She is taking herbs and vitamins, those proven to be helpful in recovering cancer patients. I’ve been impressed with her resolve. God has been so good to us.

Here are a few quotes from my devotionals this week:
“Never stop praying” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Hear His heart: I don’t ask for your persistent prayers because I’m hard of hearing. I ask for them because in the process of asking, listening for My answers, waiting on Me to act, and continuing to seek out My will, you are being drawn close to Me. My delays are rarely a no; they are an invitation to come closer. If you learn this, you will find yourself growing deeper and stronger in Me”. Chris Tiegreen

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” ! Thessalonians 5:18. “Hear His heart: Your gratitude is My will in every circumstance. I don’t expect you to enjoy adversity, but know that you don’t see the whole picture, and trust the One who does:Me. No matter what happens, give thanks. Stubbornly insist on it, regardless of your reservations. It’s always an appropriate attitude, and it makes Me want to come closer.” Chris Tiegreen

“It is God who engineers our circumstances and whatever they may be we must see that we face them. Jesus Christ’s honor is at stake in our bodily lives. Are we remaining faithful to the Son of God in everything that attacks His life in us?” – Unknown where I got this quote from.

Thank you all for your continued prayers. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. He has drawn us closer to Him during this time. We can vouch, His words are the only Truth to stand by. He always comes through.

Have a safe and blessed 4th. Thank you all for your faithfulness toward us.
